Santiago RONCAGLIOLO has Publisher three novels: Pudor (Shame), which inspired the film of the same name, Abril Rojo (Red April), which sold over 100 000 copies and won the Alfaguara Prize and the Independent Prize for Foreign Fiction (UK), and Tan Cerca de la Vida (So Close to Life). He has also written true stories, which have provoked angry debate in various Latin American countries. The Uruguayan Lover is the latest of these.
